You should pop in!
And speaking of abandonment, YOU left me first so you could go off and start a family(heavy sarcasm). all this time I've been waiting for you to come back with your kids as your box army, buuuuut no- you had to go and be a decent and
Respectable father.

Seriously though if you get bored Pop in:)

And actually now that i recall, most of week all of eqemu was very unstable. they are doing the ROF client update so had a few kinks to work out. It's nice though cause now you can get a free copy of the most current content and use them on emu... or within the next few weeks anyway.

I think its funny I still check this board 8 years after retirement. Skaxx, fabs, tala, johny, devo whats up guys. Anything worth playing these days besides an eq emulator? Ive been out of the loop and miss online gaming.

I don't play anything online. I don't have the spare time—and really don't have the desire to find something that time-consuming anyway.

For me personally, it's been hectic. The last year or so has been crazy. Briefly on the negatives my wife's parents divorced. My dad and step mom (since I was 3? 4?) both died within a few months of each other, and we left our long-time church.

On the positive side, we now have 2 beautiful kiddos. Lucy is almost 4 and Everett is 2. We've finally paid off all our debts, and we found an incredible church. Aaaaaand, we're planning on moving out of state when I graduate with my MA in May (or as soon as possible thereafter, finding employment out of state notwithstanding.

Hectic!

I'm actually in St. Louis now. Been here right at a year. Got a new girlfriend who I love the shit out of and seems to get me (mostly, hah). She bought me an EverQuest keyboard (Zboard - remember those?) for my birthday and I actually loaded up Live. Wandered around PoK and camped out after. Fun stuff.

I'm going to start playing the emulator again soon, but not in any real capacity. Just a few hours here and there. Got way too much going on nowadays to spend more than that online.

Look at all these old timers popping up.

Skaxx, you should try out a SK in EQ2. I have two, I loved my Dark Elf so much I am leveling a human since humans rule for SK's. =P

It's still makes me /boggle that Devo has kids.

I may try out EQ2 one of these days just for shits and grins. Human SK though, of course :)

Devo's kids look just like him, too. That's what's frightening :D

Man Devo you have been busy.  Sorry about all the Negatives, but the kiddos are cute enough to make a positive out of anything! Hey ramp, Roehm, and Fab long time no see guys! I'm still on Emu for a little longer anyway.  It's free so it passes some time.  Wife and I are looking at a house to buy, and leaving to visit my sister in Cambridge, UK for a few weeks later on this year so I need to spend as little money on games as possible heh.

We're looking to buy our first house, too, once we move to Oregon. Actually, we're considering buying a small apartment building and living in one unit for a year—then buying a house. ;)

Will be so nice to escape from SoCal... and have more space for more babies. ;)

That's funny, my wife and I were talking yesterday about leaving socal and going to Oregon, or anywhere in northern CA.  Both are Win, although no sales tax in Oregon is pretty awesome too.

Hi everyone!

I actually played some on the progression server, Fippy Darkpaw. If anyone else played/play there, send me a PM!

Will probably play EQ3 when it comes out.

Dunno if anyone remembers me. I wasn't super prominent but I remember most of yall and still talk about my time in blades to everyone who will listen. I am playing on the progression server in citizen if anyone still plays.

After leaving blades I lost a 100 pounds and struck out to get a career going. I succeeded and now live in north carolina and am doing well. I hope everyone else is doing well. and i miss yall :D

Even if the people are fuckin' nuts :P

Too bad one of you guys doesn't wanna move to central Missouri. I've got my house on the market down there. Lived in it 6 years but had to move on to a bigger city and all that. Even found a girlfriend worth having this time around!

Grant's Pass area (Or Medford, or somewhere in between, job permitting). I graduate in late May and then the job hunt starts (or a bit before...). We'll be living with in-laws in Grant's Pass until we get settled. Where we go from there depends on where I am working and/or where we find housing.

I was reading some thread on SlickDeals about a video card, someone with the name Darkhosis was on there, and now I'm here after never logging on in about 6-7 years.

Hi.

I would move to Missouri if the midwest weren't so shitty. So, I guess what i'm saying is,  I would never move back to the midwest.  Although I would Drop in to have a beer with ya! Does that count for anything?

My family is in Medford and Ashland, small world. I never lived in Grants Pass but its not far. Lots of people go back to Southern OR to raise their families, totally different pace of life compared to here in NJ. There are a lot of places to live down there, and most of the travel to work will be actual mileage, not traffic like around here.

Tons of outdoor activities to enjoy there too :). The weather should be great when you get there too!  Depending on how far you want to go the Eugene/Springfield area is further North and a lot bigger too, a couple hours away though so could visit folks in Grants Pass but not every weekend.

Heh, it is a small world.

Once I graduate, hopefully it won't take too long to find work there. It's not going to be easy to job hunt from 800 miles away, though. I imagine I might have to plan on a few plane trips up there between now and then. that's going to add up!

I am in Tri City, OR right now....which is roughly 50miles north of GP.  I lived in GP for a bit but spent most of my time in a small shit hole called Glendale.....once your in Oregon, look me up, I'll be glad to show you the hotspots!!!

I thought you came back at one point while i was in BoW as i definitely remember you, but it has been a long time. I was in BoW the end of Velious, although I was around the server long before that, and ended at Omens of War although i think Gates of Discord was probably the last one I was active for.

I am not sure what you do, but the Asante Hospital system has had decent positions and they have places in Grants Pass, Medford, and Ashland. Harry and David/Bear Creek, does mostly seasonal but they hire a ton of people to prep for the holidays in Medford. I have family that work with Asante and like them and tons of people have worked seasonably at Bear Creek.

Maddy, I meant Sleek. You and I were guildies for a long time. I joined in Velious and left in PoP. ;)

We're now planning our move for mid-September, unless I get a job offer sooner. It's been challenging finding/getting call backs from so far away. Our lease is up in Sept and it will actually b cheaper to live unemployed for a short time than on a month-to-month lease here (go figure).

Haha, okay it has been years so you never know if you forgot the dwarf or not. The COL is lower there for sure. I bet some places there are just a little old school and not use to folks applying far away.

My sis had the same issue when she considered living out here. She ended up staying in OR, but i know it was the distance that was an issue for her getting calls. I hear you better wear sun screen, the family has been complaining about the heat this year. A bit early for them to hit over 100 already! (at least its a dry heat!)
